2019 was a bumper awards season for Rocket, with 17 nominations and 2 well-deserved wins over 5 different industry awards.

Nominations covered several different aspects of our work – from customer acquisition and website visitor growth to data-driven and display-focused advertising campaigns, as well as team awards for Rocket Agency and individual gongs for our Technical Account Director Sachin Rajah and Rocket co-founder James Lawrence.

Our big wins for our clients this year were at the SEMrush AU Search Awards, held on 12 November 2019 at the Sydney Opera House.

Shortlisted in 10 categories on the night, the team at Rocket took home two impressive awards – Best B2B campaign for Rezdy, and Best Advertising Campaign for Luna Park Sydney’s Halloscream event.

Qiret Lane, Davy Dubouchet, Stefania Perrone, Mariano Di Lascio, David Lawrence and Sachin Rajah attended the SEMrush AU Search Awards at the Opera House in November.

The campaign to promote the iconic Luna Park Halloween event has now won the prestigious award two years in a row and is a testament to our strong relationships with the team at Luna Park Sydney.

More than 12,000 people bought tickets to the event in 2018, an increase of more than 4,000 on the previous year’s sales. The success of the Luna Park Halloscream campaign also fortified Sachin Rajah’s nomination for AC&E’s Young Marketer of the Year.

The Rezdy team joined Rocket for a celebratory coffee after the first of several award nominations.

Australian-founded booking platform for tour and activity providers, Rezdy, were overjoyed to hear that Rocket had brought home the SEMrush award for Best B2B Campaign. The campaign success was driven by getting in the mindset of Rezdy’s target market through highly-optimised Google Search and Facebook ads, and had the added bonus of massively decreasing the cost per lead.

“This win reflects our B2B specialty, with a large portfolio of B2B brands,” says James. “B2B brands often face particularly complex challenges navigating a lengthy sales cycle and multi-layered customer journeys to purchase.”
